EcoTools are paving the way for sustainable, earth-friendly beauty applicators. Beauty blenders have been in everyone’s makeup bags for the past few years and they tend to get very dirty, meaning that they have to be replaced regularly. According to EcoTools, ordinary beauty blenders can take over 50 years to break down. In response to this environmental concern, the brand introduced the first 100% biodegradable beauty blender earlier this year. 

The Bioblender is composed of the following five natural ingredients: water, corn, preservative, pigment and BionaNopol. When customers would usually throw their beauty blenders in the bin, the Bioblender can be placed in compost, as you would with a banana. Debossed on every Bioblender are the words “Plant Me” to ensure that users carefully replant their applicators.

EcoTools have stated that the Bioblenders take an average of 180 days to biodegrade. They proudly declare that Bioblender’s creation and use reduces 59,270 pound of single-use waste. The brand are moving in the right direction and setting an example for other beauty companies.
